In addition to our work in public education and advocacy, CRTP occasionally conducts independent research and literature reviews that are directly relevant to transportation-related challenges facing North Coast communities. For example, we’ve published a review of relevant transportation and place-making literature along with recommendations for the Arcata Plaza. We also produced the first rigorous analysis of the likely impacts of the Richardson Grove & Smith River Canyon highway expansion projects on regional truck traffic.
CRTP staff and volunteers are also available for collaborations with local researchers and students. We can provide assistance with data collection and analysis as well as local expertise on transportation issues. If you’re interested in collaborating with CRTP, please contact Executive Director Colin Fiske at firstname.lastname@example.org.
